I studied in Aerosur back in 2013 as an international student, they helped me out to get my Uruguayan CPL, alongside with all the paperwork and procedures necessary concerning that certificate. All the way down from ground courses, study material to take home, flight simulator and flight hours in different airplanes with top class instructors, I had it all thanks to them, and with all that I paved my future as an airline pilot afterwards in the United States holding nowadays an FAA ATP certificate which I got thanks to my training at Aerosur. Without hesitation I would advice anyone who would like to begin their careers in aviation to go take a peek above the clouds with Aerosur and become the best professionals in the job market.

AeroSur Uruguay played a key role in helping me achieve my Commercial Pilot License. The training, guidance, and support I received from its director Mario de los Santos and his team provided me with the strong foundations every professional pilot needs. That preparation led me to my first airline job flying the MD-80 in Venezuela in 2013, followed by opportunities with HK Express (Airbus A320), Cathay Pacific (Airbus A350), and, since 2024, Emirates on the Airbus A380. I am sincerely grateful to AeroSur for the knowledge, professionalism, and confidence they gave me at the beginning of my career. Their training helped open doors around the world, and I highly recommend them to anyone pursuing a career in aviation.

My name is Andrés Miranda, and I am a Boeing 767 First Officer currently flying for LATAM Airlines based in Peru. My time at AeroSur was excellent. I met outstanding people who not only trained me as a pilot but also helped shape my education and the way I developed within the aviation industry. I completed the course from zero to commercial in less than a year, and I was fortunate to experience the dedication and effort that all the school staff put into helping students achieve their goals. My aviation journey began at AeroSur, where I completed my entire flight training, from my Private Pilot License through Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot License, Multi-Engine Rating, and finally becoming a Flight Instructor. Looking back, AeroSur gave me much more than technical knowledge and flying skills. It was where I learned the value of discipline, perseverance, and commitment — qualities that have remained with me throughout my professional career. What made the experience particularly meaningful was the human side of the school. I always felt supported, not only academically, but as part of a close community that made you feel welcome, motivated, and genuinely eager to come back and keep learning. Today, with over 4,000 flight hours, I fly the Boeing 787 on long-haul international routes across Europe, Oceania, North America, and Latin America. Looking back at where it all started, I remain deeply grateful for the training, the people, and the experiences at Aerosur that helped build the foundation for the pilot I am today.

When evaluating where to achieve my dream of becoming a pilot I left nothing to chance, I asked for offers and opinions everywhere, and after much deliberation I decided to do my whole career in AeroSur, because they achieved the perfect balance between professionalism and camaraderie. You will not only learn in a capital’s city main airport with very experienced instructors but you will also receive thoughtful guidance, patience and even friendship. They even helped me with ATP training and A320 introduction, which helped me a lot in my first steps in airlines.

Desde 2013 me mantuve con licencia y habilitaciones vigentes gracias a las aeronaves de Aerosur. Mas tarde en 2019 me formé como Instructor, y de inmediato me uní al grupo de Instructores de la escuela. Trabajé allí hasta 2024, acumulando cerca de 1300 horas de instrucción en vuelo. Luego ingresé como Primer Oficial de A320 en Latam Airlines. Sin duda la experiencia adquirida en Aerosur ha sido de gran ayuda para mi desarrollo profesional.
