WHO WE ARE
We are a civil aeronautics training center “CIAC AEROSUR” Type 3, whose focus is on the training of Private Pilots, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilots, Multi-engine and others, in accordance with the requirements of a dynamic and constantly developing aeronautical industry.
MISSION
To train school staff and students in general, so that they can perform the different operational and administrative activities with the highest possible degree of professionalism.
VISION
To be the national instruction instrument, making the most of human and material resources with an appropriate curriculum that satisfies the heterogeneous realities of the aeronautical environment.
Quality Policy
CIAC AEROSUR is created in order to provide theoretical instruction, flight instruction and any other type of instruction that does not contravene aeronautical regulations and that gives the student the possibility of obtaining licenses and qualifications, regulated by DINACIA. And since 2025, Aerosur became the first and only flight academy with courses approved in English for foreign students.

The key point of our quality policy is based on the ability of our Flight Instructors to act and teach others both the importance of Safety and Procedures, both in flight and on the ground, in all aspects of our activity.
Quality Objectives:
There is a feedback system with customers through surveys both on our website and in the courses offered.
The staff of CIAC AEROSUR meets the requirements established by aviation regulations regarding skills and competencies in the role to be performed.
The student's flight progression is monitored, achieving over 85% pass rate on both theoretical and practical exams, meeting the desired instruction time in each course.
Our instructional material, airplanes, and simulators have the necessary technology to provide training services that meet today's standards.
Quality Strategy:
To achieve the proposed objectives, the Operations Management will ensure the continuous improvement of CIAC by using the feedback provided by students and staff belonging to the CIAC AEROSUR value chain as a quality management tool.
SAFETY PROGRAM
AEROSUR is fully aware of the importance of preventing accidents in aviation. Our staff brings creativity, efficiency, and support to accomplish our mission. For this reason, the organization has as one of its primary objectives the protection of human and material resources, as well as safeguarding the work environment from risks that could cause injuries or disabilities to our pilots, mechanics, employees, clients, and service providers. For this reason, we have an 'operational safety program' that allows us to identify and mitigate hazards or threats to flight operations, which is essential for the development of our activity.
Training, instruction, and safe work practices in Risk Prevention and Operational Risk Control of aviation activities (SAFETY) are mandatory for all our personnel, fully complying with Safety and Training standards, processes, and procedures.
How to begin...
First:
Contact Aerosur via Whatsapp or mail (or our sale representatives). We care about getting to know you, for you to get to know us, and for us to guide you in this exciting world. To do this, you should schedule an interview at least 24 hours in advance. International students contact Way For Sky in India or our international representative to schedule interviews.
Second:
Once you decide to get started, we will coordinate all the paperwork needed in order to travel to Uruguay (some foreigners need visa), reserve your place for the course, gather all you medical and study certificates, sign a contract, prepare your accomodation and travel!
Third:
To begin the Private Pilot Theory Course – the first step for Commercial Pilot License - we have dedicated facilites in Adami International Airport, just for international students.
The Theoretical course consists of 100 hours of classes, which will include the introductory course, Aerodynamics, Engines and Systems, Meteorology, Regulations, and Aeronautical Medicine, among other subjects. As we are the only CIAC in the country certified for english clasess, all lessons will be in this lenguage.
While attending the theory classes, the students undergo the necessary medical examinations at a CMAE (Aeronautical Medical Examiner Center) and get their uruguayan medical certificate.
Fourth:
Once the medical examination (also called PSYCHOPHYSICAL) has been completed, a day and time are scheduled at the Aeronautical Personnel Department (DINACIA) to carry out the final procedure to obtain the Student Pilot permit (which will allow the start of practical flight lessons). (*)
Fifth:
Once you have obtained the PSYCHOPHYSICAL, you will coordinate the start of your flight lessons, keeping in mind that the Private Pilot Course requires a minimum of 40 flight hours... for this, we have 2 Cessna 172 aircraft, which are available 7 days a week.
